Hitachi Transport System, Ltd. is pleased to announce that forklift operators from the Hitachi Transport System Group (HTS Group) placed first in both General division and Women’s division following last year, at the 36th National Forklift Driving Competition (organized by the Land Transportation Safety & Health Association) held on October 1 and 2.
Through forklift driving, this competition is held for the purpose of raising the spirit of legal compliance and safety awareness, improving driving knowledge and skills, establishing safe work practice and prevent workplace accidents. In this year, 52 forklift operators from all over the country won each prefectural tournament participated in the competition. 5 forklift drivers from HTS Group participated in the competition (4 in General division, 1 in Women’s division). Mr. Junpei Noguchi of Hitachi Transport System East Japan Co., Ltd. took first place with a total score of 959 points at the General division. Ms. Mieko Ujiie from Hitachi Transport System East Japan Co., Ltd. also took first place with a total score of 934 points at the Women’s division.
In order to raise awareness of safety, compliance with regulations, and improve the driving knowledge and skills of our drivers, our group has been participating in this event since its inception. We will continue our efforts to establish safe work practices and prevent workplace accidents.
