Hitachi Transport System, Ltd. is pleased to announce that forklift operators from the Hitachi Transport System Group (HTS Group) placed first in both General division and Women’s division at the 36th National Forklift Driving Competition (organized by the Land Transportation Safety & Health Association) held on October 2 and 3.
Through forklift driving, this competition is held for the purpose of raising the spirit of legal compliance and safety awareness, improving driving knowledge and skills, establishing safe work practice and prevent workplace accidents. 37 forklift operators from all over the country won each prefectural tournament participated in the competition.
6 forklift drivers from HTS Group participated in the competition. Mr. Eiji Imamura of Hitachi Transport System Central Japan Co., Ltd. took first place with a total score of 937 points at General division. Also, Ms. Moeha Taji from Hitachi Transport System West Japan Co., Ltd. claimed first place with a total score of 894 points at Women’s division.
In order to raise awareness of safety, compliance with regulations, and improve the driving knowledge and skills of our drivers, our group has been participating in this event since its inception. We will continue our efforts to establish safe work practices and prevent workplace accidents.
